The Times just published a profile of my work at Somerville under their Saturday Interview series.
Room 5 in the Penrose building in Somerville College has no inscription on its wooden door or plaque, just an undergraduate sleeping in the bed. But this was Baroness Thatcher’s home when she first arrived at Oxford, aged 17, which she gradually filled with an old armchair and a vase from Grantham to prevent homesickness.
